EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT

1. Parties

This employment agreement is between Example Trading (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/123456/07, of 1 Business Road, Johannesburg (the Employer), represented by Alex Smith, Director, and Jordan Mokoena, ID/passport 9001015009087, of 10 Main Street, Johannesburg (the Employee).

2. Appointment and job description

The Employee is appointed as Office Administrator. The principal duties are: General office administration, customer support, record keeping and coordination of daily operational tasks.. The Employee must perform reasonable related duties, comply with lawful instructions and act in the Employer's best interests.

3. Commencement, contract type and probation

The appointment starts on 2026-09-15 and continues indefinitely until lawfully terminated.

The first 3 month(s) are probationary. Performance will be assessed fairly with appropriate guidance and an opportunity to improve.

4. Place of work

The normal place of work is 1 Business Road, Johannesburg. Reasonable work-related travel or temporary assignment may be required after consultation.

5. Hours of work

Ordinary hours are 45 hours per week over Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, normally 9 hours per day according to this schedule: 08:00 to 17:00, including a one-hour meal interval.

Overtime must be agreed and will be paid at 1.5 times the ordinary rate or compensated by paid time off by agreement. Sunday and public-holiday work will be compensated at applicable statutory rates. Meal intervals and daily and weekly rest periods apply in accordance with the BCEA.

6. Remuneration and deductions

The Employee will be paid R 6 000.00 per month, by EFT, on the last working day of each month. The approximate hourly equivalent is R 30.77.

No additional allowances or benefits apply unless recorded in writing.

Authorised deductions: PAYE where applicable, UIF. A written payslip will be provided as required by section 33 of the BCEA.

7. Leave

Annual leave is 15 working days per 12-month cycle, or the equivalent arrangement permitted by the BCEA.

Sick leave is up to 30 days in a 36-month cycle; during the first six months, one day for every 26 days worked.

Family responsibility leave is three days per annual cycle after four months' service for an employee working at least four days per week. Maternity leave is four consecutive months and parental leave is 10 consecutive days, subject to applicable law and UIF eligibility.

8. Public holidays

The Employee is entitled to public holidays under the Public Holidays Act. Work on a public holiday must be agreed and compensated in accordance with applicable law.

9. Termination and notice

Either party may terminate employment on lawful written notice. Unless a more favourable rule applies, the notice period is one week during the first six months of service, two weeks after six months but not more than one year, and four weeks after one year of service, subject to any more favourable applicable law or collective agreement. Dismissal remains subject to a fair reason and fair procedure.

10. Confidentiality

The Employee must protect confidential business, client, financial, operational and personal information during and after employment, and may use it only for authorised work purposes.

12. Disciplinary and grievance procedures

The Employer's disciplinary, grievance, health and safety, leave and other workplace policies apply as amended from time to time, provided they remain lawful. The Employee may request access to these policies.

13. Entire agreement and variation

This document records the employment terms between the parties. A change must be lawful and recorded in writing after consultation and agreement where required. If any term is invalid, the remaining terms continue to apply.
